How to set your makeup all day long?
The warmer weather is approaching, and with it the fear of sweaty skin. It’s also the season for weddings and trips to the beach… In short, if you’re used to wearing makeup, you’ll need even more reinforcement to make it last all day. Here are my 3 makeup artist tips to make your makeup last longer:
1. Use primer for your complexion and eyelids.
Before applying your makeup, use a primer that acts as a barrier between your skin and your makeup (choose it based on your needs: moisturizing? mattifying? concealer?). On the one hand, this prevents the makeup from absorbing quickly, and on the other, it helps the foundation stay put. Don’t hesitate to also use an eyeshadow primer before applying your makeup.
2. Creamy products give a glowy finish, but powder textures last longer! Mix the two!
The trend is to contour with liquid blushes, concealers, and creamy sticks. However, creamy products tend to be absorbed quickly throughout the day. If your skin feels sticky when you run your finger over it after applying a texture like a cream foundation or liquid blush, it’s a sign that it might not last.
My advice: powder your complexion!
Personally, I really like using Make Up Forever loose powder, which I apply over my foundation and concealer using a powder puff to set everything in place.
3. My favorite trick: setting spray
Personally, I use Make-Up Forever Mist&Fix or L’Oréal Infaillible. You can spritz your face with this spray to make your makeup last longer. I think Mist&Fix has the advantage of rehydrating the skin, but L’Oréal Infaillible is truly infaillible in terms of long-lasting makeup.
The latest trend!

I also offer personalized makeup classes, both online and in person. If you prefer an in-person makeup class, I’ll come to your home (I’m located in Sevilla) and provide you with my professional makeup kit. It’s the perfect opportunity to enjoy a moment of beauty and receive lots of advice on a theme of your choice: alone, with friends, for a mother-daughter moment, or for a bachelorette party, for example.
